Lesson: Wire Waterbottle Holder

Make a strong and colorful wire waterbottle holder using Twisteezwire.This is just one method to create a wire bottle holder. Please see our macrame lesson for other ways to create wire mesh containers using Twisteezwire.

Start with several Twisteezwires

Start by looping two wires together in intervals as seen in photo.

Add a third wire by twisting it in intervals to the second wire as seen in photo.

Continue adding wires to the first row of linked wires.

Keep weaving wires to rows to create wire mesh.

When wires are all used, curl mesh and link it to the other edge to form a cylinder.

Connect edges by twisting the wires and knotting them so they hold.

Connect wires at the bottom of the holder.

Take three more wires and braid them together, leaving the ends free to tie to the top of the waterbottle holder.

Connecing the braid to the bottle holder by twisting them and knotting them.

Use several beads. These will be used for added decoration.

The beads will be placed where the wire ends extend past the knots made to tie the braid on to the top of the holder.

Voila! A strong and colorful wire bottle holder that you can carry to the beach.
